About this Event

On today’s walk, we will be venturing through the streets of Southwark to discover literary associations with some of the most famous writers of this country’s history

Why Samuel Pepys write about his visits to Southwark during the period of the Great Fire of London. We will also visit an area which was once the home of Charles Dickens and hear about the Pr*son which inspired one of his most famous books.
