About this Event
More about the session
Every space in our city can inspire new pieces of creative writing. By channeling our place-based sensory experiences, we can enliven our writing and reflect the unique aspects of our shared environments.
In this workshop, we'll warm up our senses through a series of short exercises and walk to three spaces in Little Five Points for place-based writing sessions.
Participants will learn how to use sensory and environmental details to create rich and sensual writing in any genre. This practice can enrich and deepen not only your writing, but how you move through the world.
Everyone is welcome to share and discuss what they conjure during the session, with a focus more on open-ended possibilities than critical feedback.
This session is open to creatives and writers of all skill levels.
Walk & Write: A Place-Based Writing Experience in Little Five Points will be facilitate by Scott Daughtridge DeMer.
