The Arthur Krempin School of Music & Art presents“Wake, Awake”
Sunday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m.
FELC Downtown Site and Livestreamed
All are Welcome
This Bach cantata is one of his two most famous and is based on the familiar Advent hymn, "Wake, Awake." This concert is a part of the Sacra Musica series of The Arthur Krempin School of Music & Art. The cantata will be performed by the FELC Parish Choir and Music Interns, members of the Zion Lutheran Church Choir, the community, and concert organist Frank Perko III under the direction of FELC's Director of Congregational Worship & Music, Erich Knapp.
The concert will also feature handbells, chimes, and percussion performing a new composition, "Artemis," which celebrates the astronauts of the Artemis II lunar mission of April 2026.
In addition, enjoy a major work for two choirs and handbells, "The Singing Heart," by composer Bob Chilcott and a solo performance by Frank Perko III of Bach's "Organ Concerto in A minor."
This event is free to attend; your generous donations support
