Help bring Events DC WalkingTown to life!
From September 19-26, 2026, volunteers will support free guided tours across Washington, DC, and help create a welcoming, organized experience for participants.
Volunteers may help welcome participants, support check-in, identify the tour meeting point, assist with participant flow, connect with the tour guide, and communicate any questions or issues to the WalkingTown team.
Choose When and Where You'd Like to Volunteer
Tell us which scheduled tour(s) interest you most and/or the dates and times that work best for you. MW Consulting will use your preferences and program needs to make volunteer assignments.
Selecting a tour or time does not guarantee that assignment. Once scheduling is complete, you will receive a confirmation with your assigned tour, date, reporting time, meeting location, and instructions.
Virtual Volunteer Orientation
Volunteers will participate in one of the virtual orientations before WalkingTown. The session will cover your role, what to expect on tour day, participant support, communications, and who to contact if you need help.
