Step into the shadows of historic Columbia for an evening inspired by old Southern vampires, candlelight, dark literature, and a little bit of blood.
On Friday, October 23, Lit Escape is taking over the Robert Mills Carriage House & Gardens for a reader-focused vampire social unlike anything we’ve done before.
Expect an evening of:
🕯️ Southern Gothic atmosphere inside a historic setting
📚 Vampire + paranormal books and featured local authors
🩸 An on-site blood drive in partnership with The Blood Connection
🥀 Professionally catered charcuterie, grazing bites & mocktails
🎁 Curated swag + prizes throughout the evening
🖤 Plenty of reasons to dress for the occasion
THE BLOOD DRIVE
Blood donations will begin at 5 PM and will operate primarily by appointment. Walk-up donations may also be available throughout the event as space allows.
Donating blood is completely optional and is not required to attend Volumes of the Vein — but those who choose to bleed will receive additional donor perks.
Because if we’re gathering around blood, we might as well bleed together. 🩸
