The UT String Project invites you to join us for a performance of Conjunto Music on October 11, 2025, at 11:30 am at Bates Recital Hall on UT’s Campus. This 30-minute performance will feature the UT String Project Teachers, the UT Conjunto Ensemble, and the world-renowned Los Texmaniacs. The Texmaniacs will share information about Conjunto music and traditions while also performing for our audience. Additionally, Susan Torress Nevarez and JJ Barrera, UT Conjunto Professors and experts, will assist with sharing about this music tradition.Conjunto music is indigenous to central Texas making this a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about the music of their home!
This performance is free and open to the public. It is appropriate for all ages. There is no football game on campus on this Saturday. Please spread the word, post the flyer, and share with other teachers in your district and the area!
