About this Event
This is a free in-person event focused on Pulling in the Same Direction: Using Human Rights to Strengthen the Third Sector.
Our 2-hour workshop will show you how you could use human rights as a tool to strengthen your advocacy and influencing work, and foster collaboration across the third sector.
It will feature:
- Examples from across the sector on how third sector organisations have used rights for advocacy
- Input from special guests, including Charlie McMillan, Director of the Human Rights Consortium Scotland
- Opportunities to connect and share with like-minded organisations.
Our aim is for you to come away from this session confident in invoking human rights as part of your advocacy work and inspired to collaborate with other organisations based on shared goals.
Full agenda and guest speakers TBA.
About THRE
THRE (Third Sector Human Rights and Equalities) is a partnership of GCVS and HTSI. It's a Scotland-wide project funded by the Scottish Government Equality and Human Rights Fund to allow us to develop and deliver resources, training and networks to support third-sector organisations towards taking a human rights and equalities first approach to their organisational development and delivery. Course spaces will be prioritised for Scotland-based third sector organisations, we reserve the right to cancel any orders from organisations outside of this group.
