Join us for the US World Cup opener vs. Paraguay at Johnny Pistolas in Adams Morgan .
We'll kickoff at 7 PM with stories from Open Goal Project community members sharing their personal connections to navigating the US soccer system and what the game means to them. Then at 9 PM, we'll come together to cheer on the USMNT as they take on Paraguay.
The event will be hosted in partnership by alongside , a storytelling platform for immigrants and people from marginalized communities to share their skills and stories.
Together, we’ll honor resilience, identity, and the universal language of sport. Don’t miss this opportunity to listen, learn, and be moved by stories, and join us following the event to watch the U.S. Men’s National Team take on Paraguay in their opening match of the 2026 World Cup.
