About this Event
The Great Acceleration charts changed how we sense and feel the planet. Can that change itself become a signal? A hands-on workshop in which participants trace how the charts shape perception, feeling, and action, and translate those ripples into candidate indicators for an expanded set of curves.
The Great Acceleration charts made planetary change perceptible, and in doing so, changed how humans and nonhumans perceive, feel, and act. This workshop treats those affects as data. After a brief introduction to the charts, participants work in small groups to trace how the curves ripple through their own lives and organisations, and to translate these ripples into candidate signals for an expanded chart set.
The workshop is convened by Dr. Alexander Damianos, who is joined by Territorial Agency (John Palmesino & Ann-Sofi Rönnskog) and Dr. Jochen Büttner (Max Planck Institute of Geoanthropology)
