Mother Valentino Flora and the Denver Art Museum present the SpooKiki Ball at Untitled: Artist Takeover on Friday, October 30, 5-10pm. Join us for an evening celebrating the art of Ballroom culture, inspired by the DIVA exhibition (which opens October 4).
The Ball and Happy Hour begin at 5pm. Artmaking starts at 6pm.
Watch the local Denver Kiki Houses dance, pose, and walk the runway! A Ball is a competition and gathering rooted in the Black and Brown queer and trans communities. Ballroom gives people a space to express themselves while also celebrating individuality and community. Contributing creatives for the evening include Marcus Murray, Toluwanimi Obiwole, and Señor Trash.
Looking for ways to celebrate Halloween in Denver? Come to Untitled: Artist Takeover in costume (just skip the face covering!). Learn more about our guidelines for dressing up for Halloween and about our featured artist Mother Valentino Flora and Ballroom culture on our blog.
Untitled: Artist Takeover is an after-hours quarterly program with local artists and creatives full of dynamic and one-of-a-kind experiences. Entry is included with general admission, which is always free for members.
