About this Event
Unfiltered: The Career Pivot Confessional
You’ve seen enough polished success stories on LinkedIn—the ones where every setback is neatly wrapped in gratitude and key takeaways. Tonight is different.
Unfiltered is an intimate, high-trust talk show designed to strip away professional performance and create space for the real, unpolished realities of career transitions.
How The Evening Unfolds
Part 1: Stories in the Shadows
Three guest speakers—each with a track record of visible success in competitive fields—take the stage behind a lit silhouette screen. You hear their voices and see their outlines, but not their identities. They share the moments they kept off social media: the sudden layoff, the panic of walking away with minimal savings, or the quiet realization that a five-year career path was a complete misstep. The screen isn't used to hide who they are; it removes the pressure of visual scrutiny so they can deliver their rawest, most honest account.
Part 2: Stepping into the Light & Anonymous Q&A
Following a short break, the speakers step from behind the screen onto the main stage. The session transitions into a live Q&A where attendees submit questions in real time via an end-to-end anonymous digital platform (accessible via QR code). The host selects and moderates questions on screen. No names, no handles, no awkward mic passes—just direct, candid dialogue.
Part 3: Peer Reflection & The Confession Box To close the core program, attendees join guided roundtable clusters (limited to 10 participants per table) to reflect on shared experiences with peers. Before leaving, everyone receives a blank ""Confession Card"" to write down an unshared career truth or internal struggle and drop it into a secure, anonymous box.
Following the event, all submitted entries are processed, curated, and compiled into a post-event Digital Zine, distributed electronically to all ticket holders as a lasting reminder that you are not navigating these transitions alone."
