About this Event
Understanding Self: A Creative, Somatic Exploration into Boundaries and Our Relationship with Self
Join us for a deeply engaging and experiential workshop at Canopy Art and Wellness Studios, where creativity and body-based awareness come together to support a deeper understanding of self.
This workshop invites you into a gentle yet powerful exploration of boundaries—not just as something we think about, but as something we can feel, sense, and embody.
Through guided art therapy processes and somatic (body-based) practices, you will begin to notice how your body communicates important information about your needs, limits, and inner truth. Rather than focusing on “fixing” anything, this space is about listening inward, building trust with yourself, and reconnecting with your innate wisdom.
Together, we will explore:
- How boundaries show up in the body (and how to recognize those signals)
- The difference between cognitive understanding and embodied knowing
- Creative expression as a pathway to insight, clarity, and self-connection
- Gentle practices to strengthen your ability to feel, trust, and act from your inner guidance
This is a trauma-informed and supportive environment, where you are always invited to move at your own pace. No prior art experience is needed—only a willingness to explore.
✨ What to Expect:
- Guided somatic awareness exercises
- Experiential art-making (accessible to all levels)
- Reflection and integration practices
- A welcoming, non-judgmental space for personal exploration
✨ What You’ll Gain:
- A deeper, felt sense of your personal boundaries
- Tools to support self-awareness and emotional regulation
- Increased connection to your inner wisdom and intuitive guidance
- A meaningful creative experience that can continue beyond the workshop
All materials will be provided.
Whether you are new to this work or already on a path of self-discovery, this workshop offers a grounded and enriching opportunity to come back into relationship with yourself in a more embodied, authentic way.
