About this Event
Join us on June 21 from 1–4 PM for a special National Indigenous Peoples Day gathering at the Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre, presented in partnership with Tall Feathers Org.
STORY FEATHERS
With Elder Harley Crowshoe (Piikani Nation) and artist facilitators Patricia Lortie, Oo’Ks’pain’aakii and James Ziegler, Mohkinstsis Pookáá
Together, participants will embark on an inspiring creative journey exploring storytelling, cultural knowledge, and connection through the creation of hand-crafted story feathers.
As each feather is created, unique stories emerge, weaving together generations, lived experiences, and shared reflections. Through art, conversation, and making together, Story Feathers invites participants to deepen understanding, foster belonging, and celebrate the many relationships that shape our communities.
This event welcomes participation and storytelling from all ancestries as we gather to listen, learn from one another, and imagine kinder, more connected ways of being together.
Please note: attendance is limited to 20 participants in order to support the intentional and reflective nature of the gathering.
