Come join us for a fun, interactive Acting and Improv Workshop at Alcove! Whether you're experienced or just starting out, it’s a great space to build confidence, sharpen your skills, and get creative. You’ll be guided through engaging exercises and games to help you think on your feet, develop characters, and grow your stage presence. Come learn, laugh, and connect with others.
Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children).
The workshop is admission by donation! Suggested $20 - $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
Pinky is a passionate artist whose heart dances through the realms of acting, music, and dance. With each performance, they strive to create connections that uplift and inspire, inviting audiences to experience the beauty of shared emotion. Their love for the arts radiates warmth, fostering a sense of community and joy in every creation. Pinky believes that through artistic expression, we can all find common ground and celebrate the human experience together.

Alcove Centre for the Arts (alcoveartscentre.ca) is a non-profit organization based in Calgary, AB which aims to make art more accessible and promote a vibrant local arts industry. We curate and cultivate community art spaces for Calgarians to engage in art and creativity while building a platform for emerging local artists.
Alcove is a Recreational Art Space open to the public providing free art supplies and instruments to stimulate creativity. The space also acts as a gathering place for workshops, community events, and social meetups. Come visit and get creative!
