This bitesize session will give VCSE organisations and community groups a clear overview of the core policies and governance responsibilities they need in place to operate safely, legally and effectively. We’ll look at essential documents such as safeguarding, whistleblowing, health and safety, data protection, volunteering, and financial controls, along with simple checklists to help groups understand what’s required, why it matters, and how to keep policies up to date.The session is designed to be practical and confidence‑building, helping organisations strengthen their governance without unnecessary jargon or complexity.
