About this Event
Loss is one of the few universal experiences we all face, yet when it happens, many of us find ourselves navigating it in silence.
Whether it’s the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or the loss of a job or home, grief touches us all.
However, despite its inevitability, grief remains a difficult topic – in fact, 72% of the British Public find it hard to talk about.
During this 2.5 hour, tutor-led session, participants will learn about:
- What grief is, the different ways we might experience grief and loss and how grief affects us
- Grief theory and models of grief
- The connection between grief and trauma
- Practical strategies for supporting someone else
- The importance of self-care and prioritising wellbeing
Methods of delivery: Taught over 2.5 hours using tutor facilitated learning.
