About this Event
We are starting the new year with something a bit different!
Inside creativity’s messy heart with DixonBaxi.
As our world seems ever more negative, we at TypoCircle believe positivity, community and creative thinking is all the more important. We are primarily a social club in love with type, design and craft, and going into our 50th anniversary year, we will be bolstering our community with events to bring creative minds together.
So for our first 2026 event, we are hosting a smaller, more intimate gathering – a chance to chat to your peers, have a drink and mingle, and hear what industry-champion Simon Dixon's thoughts are on ideas, culture and what design process looks like now. He'll be delving into their new book, with some giveaways for lucky guests too! With our Chair, Louise Sloper, leading the chat, expect a conversational, inspirational and positive start to the new year.

Simon will be talking about the messy middle of creativity and how shared thinking turns ideas into culture. DixonBaxi’s recently published book, REMIX, is a 500-page open-source book that captures the energy, process, and spirit of the DixonBaxi Studio over the past 18 months, and points to how creative studios might evolve in the future.
More than a traditional retrospective, it is a layered, non-linear journey through strategy, design, and collaboration, inviting readers to flick between pages and discover their own path through the work.
