About this Event

ABOUT THE CUISINE

Indian cuisine is one of the most diverse in the world, shaped by centuries of regional traditions, cultural exchanges, and vibrant food practices. From the spice-rich curries of the north to the coconut-infused dishes of the south, India’s food reflects a deep connection to heritage, family, and fresh ingredients. Vidya’s dishes highlight the warmth and colour of Indian home cooking, showcasing balanced spices, comforting vegetarian recipes, and the joyful spirit of sharing food with others.

ABOUT THE CHEF

A message from chef Vidya:

“Namaste! My name is Vidya, I am from India! A self taught Indian Home cook with a lifelong passion for sharing the bold and beautiful flavours of traditional Indian cuisine. Raised in a family where food brought everyone together. I learned to cook by watching and helping my mother prepare everything from everyday rotis to elaborate festival feasts.

Now based in London, I teach hands-on cooking that makes Indian cooking approachable, fun and deeply authentic. My focus is on vegetarian meals.

The cooking class is more than just a cooking session, it will be a joyful experience filled with personal stories, practical tips and delicious results you can recreate at home.

Over the years I have perfected the art of making authentic, flavourful Indian meals. My approach to cooking is all about balancing spices using fresh ingredients and making traditional recipes.

I can't wait to welcome you into my class where every dish is a story and every bite brings us closer. Let's cook, connect and celebrate the spirit of India from my Kitchen to yours.”

THE CLASS FORMAT

Our cookery classes are family-style - meaning everyone works together to prepare the dishes as a team.

While you’ll be asked to choose one dish to focus on, you’ll have the opportunity to move around the kitchen, help with other dishes, and learn from each recipe. It’s a fun, social, and collaborative way to cook! At the end of the class, you’ll sit down with the chef, class facilitator and volunteers to enjoy the delicious meal you’ve created together.

REMINDERS

We’re excited to have you in the class! Please take note of a few final reminders:

  • Please see our refund/cancellation policy: Migrateful Ticket Refund Policy | Migrateful
  • Please see our allergens policy here: Food and Allergens Policy
  • We recommend using a debit or credit card to pay (paypal takes 48 hours to be confirmed).
