Join us in the Multipurpose Room next to the Bellis Fair Library Branch for a hands-on look at one of the most influential machines in literary history: the typewriter. Explore up to six manual models, learn how they shaped writing and journalism, and experience their unique, rhythmic sound. Local typewriter aficionado Jennifer Dunn will provide information and tutorials about the typewriters presented as well as tips to clean and repair that dusty typewriter in your attic. Try the typewriters out, read typewritten excerpts from authors who used them to write their books, and enjoy a drop-in experience designed for all ages.
Note: If entering the mall before 11:00 am, use the entrance next to Target or the Food Court entrance.
