Hai mai desiderato progettare un tuo carattere tipografico, ma non sapevi da dove iniziare?
Questo workshop intensivo di un weekend è un’ottima occasione per iniziare a progettare caratteri tipografici. Vai oltre la scelta dei soliti caratteri dal menu dei font e crea il tuo! In questo corso di due giorni imparerai le basi della progettazione e della generazione di un font variabile con il software per il type design Glyphs (solo per Mac).
Nella sessione di giovedì ci concentreremo sui fondamenti della creazione di un font. Vedremo come progettare un semplice set di lettere maiuscole, come gestire efficacemente la spaziatura tra le lettere, come integrare i segni diacritici e come utilizzare la punteggiatura.
Venerdì creeremo una versione bold dello stesso carattere tipografico, svilupperemo un font variabile e lo animeremo per utilizzarlo in un browser web o in un’applicazione desktop.
È necessario portare il proprio Macbook.

Have you ever wanted to design your own typeface, but didn’t know where to start?
This intensive weekend workshop is a great opportunity to get started with type design. Go beyond choosing the same typefaces from the font menu and create your own! Over the course of two days, you’ll learn the basics of designing and generating a variable font using Glyphs type design software (Mac only).
In the Thursday session, we’ll focus on the fundamentals of creating a font. We’ll look at how to design a simple set of uppercase letters, how to manage letter spacing effectively, how to integrate diacritics, and how to use punctuation.
On Friday, we’ll create a bold version of the same typeface, develop a variable font, and animate it for use in a web browser or desktop application.
You must bring your own MacBook.
