What if the next great movie started with your idea?In this interactive workshop, award-winning filmmaker Nicola Irvine will take you behind the scenes and show you how a story from your imagination can be developed into an onscreen film. Through storyboarding, learning cinematic shot set ups and filmmaker tricks used in real productions, you’ll learn how to build exciting scenes, memorable characters and cinematic moments without needing expensive equipment to bring your stories to life.
This event is ideal for 12-18-year-olds.
About Nicola:
Nicola Irvine is a filmmaker/storyteller, and owner of the production company Landlady Films which she set up in 2019. She has made her own films since the age of twelve and has taught children about film at theatre companies in the past. She primarily focuses on writing dark stories and tales for children. Nicola is currently writing her first children's novella The Moonlight Circus, based on an audio drama she self-produced. Last year she completed her MSt in Writing for Performance at Cambridge University.
