𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝟭𝟬 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁, 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 & 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗲-𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲
A little North African inspiration, a balancing pot, and a whole lot of teamwork. This 10-week series brings together the art of dance, the fun of making your own prop, and the challenge of learning a coordinated troupe-style piece designed with future performance in mind.
Inspired by Tunisian dance traditions, this class will explore a distinctive style of movement built around balancing a pot while dancing. We'll begin by creating our own dance pots using a set of instructions, giving everyone the opportunity to prepare their prop before we get into the choreography. Once our pots are ready, we'll shift our focus to learning the dance, developing the coordination, musicality, and group awareness needed to bring the piece together.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁:
• 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝟭–𝟮 (𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝟯): Create your own dance pot using provided instructions and prepare for the movement ahead.
• 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀: Learn and refine the choreography, building confidence with pot balancing, footwork, transitions, and coordinated group movement.
• 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗲-𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: Work together as a group toward a cohesive piece intended for future performance.
This session is a little different from a typical technique class. We're working toward a shared performance piece, so consistency, collaboration, and a willingness to practice together are all part of the fun. You don't need to arrive knowing how to balance a pot on your head — that's rather the point! Come ready to learn, experiment, and embrace the occasional wobble along the way.

• 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: November 23 & 30, December 7 & 14, January 4, 11, 18 & 25, and February 1 & 8
• 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: $195 for the full 10-week session. *plus the cost of materials. You will be provided a list on what you need to bring.
