Tualatin River Clean Up

Join us in removing trash and cleaning up the river by boat!

Canoes & kayaks will be provided - please register to bring your own boat or use one of ours.

• Sturdy, close-toed shoes or boots are essential: Old sneakers, hiking boots, or water shoes that can get wet and muddy and will stay on your feet are the best options.
• Avoid open toed sandals and shoes: They offer little protection from sharp objects and can be pulled off your feet in mud.

Clothing:

• Long pants and a long-sleeved shirt are recommended: This provides protection from sun and thorny plants.
• Choose quick-drying fabrics: Avoid cotton, which can stay wet and heavy.
• Consider bringing layers: A long-sleeved shirt can be rolled up or removed as needed, and a light jacket or rain shell can be helpful.
• Wear a hat and sunglasses: Protect your head and eyes from the sun.

Other essentials:

• Work gloves: Protect your hands when handling trash; we also provide them.
• Reusable water bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the cleanup.
• Snacks: Keep your energy levels up.
• Leave valuables at home: Leave watches and jewelry at home or in your vehicle.
