Andrea (Andy) Quintanilla is wrapping up her Master's Thesis this summer in the Paleobiology Department at the University of Oregon. Part of her research involved preparing Wally the Whale, a massive fossil set NARG excavated from the Southern Oregon Coast. Andy will be joining us in-person to present "Homeward Bound: Wally the Whale Returns to the Oregon Coast." It will be a wonderful chance to see what paleontologists are learning from the fossils NARG rescued.
Everyone is welcome to join us! Membership is NOT required! Before the talk, we will have show-and-tell by members and guests. Please bring fossils for identification and discussion.
For a link to the meeting via Zoom, send a Message a day or so before the meeting. We have had problems with Zoom-bombing, so we don’t post the invite publicly anymore. If you are a NARG member, check your email Inbox for an invite.
