A Moth-Inspired Storytelling EventAbout this Event
True Life Stories (a Moth-inspired event) is a story-telling event for people who have stories to tell and other people who want to listen to them. Guests are invited to throw their name in the hat for the chance to tell a 5-minute story on the theme of “SUIT."
Do you have a story about:
- A snazzy suit that changed your life?
- Being supremely well-suited (or ill-suited) for what you are doing, where you are going, or who you are seeing?
- Your winning hand? Your poker face?
- A suitcase incident?
- Wearing your birthday suit?
- A lawsuit?
All we ask is your attention, your enthusiastic support for our storytellers, and your support of the bar (alcohol, soda, juice, water.)
Storytelling Code: R-E-S-P-E-C-T. (Aretha gets it.) Please practice civility and respect. Don’t include racism, homophobia, misogyny, or any form of hate speech. Please tell true stories from your own experiences (no proselytizing or standup please) and don’t appropriate other people’s experiences, stories, or cultures.
