TRSH
——
Springfield, Missouri quartet TRSH has become a standout name in the modern emo underground with a sound that seamlessly blends punk, Midwest emo, and math rock. On their third album, String Theory, the band expands on the scrappy sincerity that first won over fans, delivering songs that are both more ambitious and more self-assured while retaining their raw emotional core. Known for explosive live performances, TRSH balances intricate, twinkling guitar work with gritty vocals, honest lyricism, and a playful stage presence that shifts effortlessly between self-deprecating humor and heartfelt intensity. Whether revisiting fan favorites like "Midwest City" and "Fire Department" or debuting newer material like "Dusty" and "Hyperpop Killed My Dog," the band continues to establish itself as one of the most exciting acts in today's emo revival.
ADJUST THE SAILS
——
Adjust the Sails is an emo-adjacent project from Atlanta, GA. They blend catchy, danceable instrumentals with lyrics exploring themes of death, love, and addiction. These Sad Dudes consistently deliver rad tunes.
DEAR MARYANNE
——
Dear Maryanne is a midwest emo band from Boston, Massachusetts. Formed in 2021, the band consists of three members: Freddy Loeb (vocals, guitar), Daniel Yelin (bass, vocals), and Daniel Charrier (drums). Dear Maryanne’s music is influenced by artists such as Mom Jeans, Marietta, La Dispute, and Free Throw – emphasizing on noodly guitar riffs and hyper-specific, yet, universally relatable lyrics.
DEAR CINCINNATI
——
Dear Cincinnati is a 5-piece emo band out of Tallahassee Florida. They take inspiration from bands like Hot Mulligan, Free Throw, and Origami Angel. Established late 2024 by 3 current members David Blair (Vocals), Troy Najdowski (Drums) and Hudson Shelfer (Guitar) before being joined by the others, Jake Van Lenten (Guitar) and Franco Perella (Bass). Dear Cincinnati has been making great strides in the 5th wave emo scene and shows no signs of stopping.
