🇹🇭 👇🏻Trioventi Vol. 3 brings together trumpeter and flugelhorn player Wazin “Junior” Chaiprasert, guitarist Patiphan “Zen” Asawakanjana and drummer Tristan Josh “TJ” Trinidad for a trio built around modern jazz, original music and collective improvisation.
Trioventi first grew out of Junior’s Master’s Jazz Trumpet Recital, with Zen and TJ already forming the guitar-and-drums side of the trio. The project continued through Trioventi Vol. 2 and into the current Vol. 3 lineup, giving the three musicians an established working relationship rather than bringing them together for a one-off date. At Smalls, the trio appeared in the Three4Bop performance in November 2025, before returning under the Trioventi Vol. 3 name in March 2026.
Junior has appeared here with Dikon Poptet and Muddy Man, while TJ has worked and recorded with musicians including Warit Techakanont and Natt Buntita. Zen, Junior and TJ also share strong links through Thailand’s university jazz community, particularly Mahidol, giving the group both a shared musical language and enough different experience to keep the trio open and unpredictable.
Trioventi approaches jazz standards through new arrangements while also bringing original compositions into the set. With no bass or piano, the trumpet/flugelhorn, guitar and drums format leaves plenty of space for each musician to shape the harmony, rhythm and direction of the music in real time.

🎺 Trioventi Vol. 3 • Live at Smalls 🎶
