About this Event
Volunteer to work alongside UF/IFAS Extension and Oyster River Ecology to plant native trees in the woodlands area at Carrollwood Village Park. This project is funded by a grant from the Tampa Bay Estuary Program where we have removed invasive species and now are replanting with native trees including red maple, Dahoon holly, wax myrtle, and myrsine. Lunch will be provided after the workday. Park in the first parking lot and meet at the pavillion in the butterfly garden for a quick debriefing before we walk back to the wooded area. Wear long pants, long sleeves, gloves and closed-toed shoes.
If you have any questions, please contact the UF/IFAS Extension Hillsborough County at (813) 744-5519.
