About this Event
Stress can show up as tension in your body, even when you have a chance to rest. Join us for Tension Releasing Exercises (TRE) + Sound Healing on Wednesday, December 2, from 6:00–7:15 PM at Central Virginia Wellness Institute.
TRE is a straightforward, body-based practice that uses gentle exercises to encourage neurogenic tremors—the body's natural shaking response. You'll learn how to access and regulate that response in a calm, supported group setting.
What to expect
- Gentle warm-ups to prepare the body
- An explanation of how TRE works and what to expect
- Guided practice with time to learn how to start, slow down and stop the tremors
- A relaxing sound bath with gongs, plate bells, chimes and other sound healing instruments
After the TRE practice, you'll lie back for the sound bath. There's nothing you need to perform or get right—just get comfortable and listen.
Who is this for?
No experience is needed. The session is guided step by step, and you can modify movements or pause whenever you need to. There's no requirement to share personal experiences.
What to bring / wear
- Comfortable clothes you can move in
- A yoga mat or cushioned mat if you have one; some mats are available
- A blanket and pillow for comfort during the sound bath
- Water, if you would like it
What you'll leave with
- A clearer understanding of how stress shows up in the body
- A guided experience of TRE in a supportive group setting
- Practical tools you can use to support relaxation over time
Location: Central Virginia Wellness Institute, 2358 Plank Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.
