About this Event
The Institute for Environment, Conservation and Sustainability (IECS) is pleased to host an international roundtable bringing together scholars from Taiwan and the University of Toronto to explore the intersections of extraction, energy, environment, culture, and the histories that connect these issues across the Pacific.
This public event will feature research presentations and discussion examining the cultural dimensions of contemporary extractive economies, critical minerals, green energy transitions, and the social and environmental challenges they generate. The roundtable will conclude with an open discussion and audience Q&A.
Students, faculty, researchers, and members of the public are warmly invited to attend.
Free and open to the public. Registration is required.
