Please arrive by 7pm, ready to be seated for the 7.30pm start. Each year, the Trans Day of Remembrance vigil honours the trans, non-binary and gender-non-conforming people whose lives have been lost to hate. Our vigil film is about more than remembrance: it is a way to educate and raise awareness of what trans people face today.
Through personal stories from our community, the film helps audiences understand the realities behind the statistics — the discrimination, the barriers to healthcare and the impact of political rhetoric — and encourages everyone watching to become a better-informed ally.
Presented by Newbury Pride and produced by MPR Productions with financial backing from TransKind by Beaumont, the film is screened in venues across the country and shared online, so that its message can reach schools, workplaces and community groups throughout Berkshire and beyond.
