?? The Trans Art School is back with a new series of creative workshops!
Led by artist and teacher Camille van Neer (@camillevanneer), these workshops guide you through a creative journey from the past to the present and into the future. Each workshop is standalone but together they form a powerful exploration of your personal story as a trans or non-binary person.
What do these themes mean to you, and how can you express them through art?
No prior experience needed. All materials are provided.

Where do you come from and who are you now
Explore your story and express it using paint on canvas or another material of your choice

What is your dream and who do you want to become

What do you feel when you say you are proud to be trans
What could help you feel even prouder
Workshop 4 – Coming Out
When do you want to be visible and when not
What does it mean to share your identity with the world
Workshop 5 – Trans Together I
Can your journey connect with others
What does that look like in an artwork
What happens when we collaborate without needing to adapt
Workshop 6 – Trans Together II
We continue working on the group piece and finalize our personal works

Info: In this first session, you’ll explore your personal story. You will express this story using paint on canvas—or, if you prefer, charcoal or another material of your choice.

Info: Always, or only sometimes? When do you want to be visible, and when would you rather not?

Workshop 5: Trans Together I
Info: Can we connect our journey with that of others? What would that look like in an artwork? Can individual pieces still form a collective whole—or shall we create a group artwork together? In life, we often have to adapt to others. What happens to a collective artwork if we don’t? Can clashes and friction also spark creativity?
