We need your help to build a Boardwalk on the Sallie Property in Foxboro.
Volunteers are truly the heroes of mountain biking! Your time as a volunteer makes you a central part of our community and is a fool-proof way to make new MTB friends. It's also a blast!
After many months of planning, SEMASS Nemba is pleased to announce that we have receieved approval and are funding a new boardwalk with membership dues, and the new boardwalk will reopen trails flooded by beavers at the Sallie Property. This project will also bring back an important connection to the F.Gilbert Hills State forest, and provide a much more enjoyable trail experience.
We are looking for volunteers, for this weekend Saturday October 17th, and will also be working on this project on October 24rth and 25th, and will post additional event listings here. Come give us a hand!

Info: We are looking for a couple of volunteers that own a chop saw and can help operate it to cut the decking from 2X8 X12' boards. We also need 3-4 volunteers to help carry boards to saw stations and stack

Info: Need 4-5 volunteers to help load ATV trailer with 4X6 X12 Beams at parking lot. Need at least 1-2 to help with managing the load for each trip.

Unloading ATV at Bridge Build Site
Info: Need 4-5 volunteers to unload ATV of 4X6 X12' Beams and stack in pile at the bridge build site.

Bridge Demo and Embankment ReBuild (6+ PPL) Waterproof Knee High Boots!
Info: Need volunteers that can work on demolishing the existing telephone pole bridge, and cut up into pieces to be moved into place and secured for new bridge embankments.

Mucktruck Operator to move Decking to WorkSite
Info: We need a volunteer to run the muck-truck motorized 4WD wheelbarrow, to transport decking boards from parking lot to work site.

Bridge Beam Pre-Build for 20' Span
Info: We need a carpenter to assemble the 2X12 X20' beams into a span that we can pre-build then transport to build site. This will involve operating a skillsaw and using a framing hammer.
