What happens when everyday people finally get the opportunity to tell City Council exactly what is on their minds?
Some will be passionate. Some will be frustrated. Some will make you laugh. And somewhere in the middle of it all, we may discover that understanding how our city works is one of the first steps toward creating change.
Join us for The Town Hall Meeting: A Theater Brunch Experience, a one-of-a-kind afternoon combining live theater, great food, laughter, civic education, community conversation and networking.
While enjoying a beautiful brunch, guests will watch an original stage presentation inspired by real concerns residents bring before local government. Through humor, emotion and relatable characters, the production explores issues affecting our neighborhoods and the sometimes-confusing process of trying to get those concerns addressed.
But the conversation doesn’t stop when the curtain comes down.
Following the performance, Christina Murray will lead an engaging discussion about how residents can better understand their city government, communicate concerns, find the appropriate departments and resources, participate in public meetings, and become more informed and involved in the community.
This is designed to be more than a fundraiser. It is an opportunity to laugh together, learn together, meet new people and have meaningful conversations about the city we call home.

Brunch Experience
Guests can look forward to a generous brunch-style menu featuring a combination of breakfast favorites and lunch selections. Menu ideas include scrambled eggs, grits, breakfast potatoes, chicken and waffles, fresh fruit, pastries, biscuits, bacon or sausage, alongside lunch options such as fried fish (basa), shirmp, pasta salad, sandwiches or another featured entrée. Then a mix of sweet treats & dressrts.
And because some of the best conversations happen around the table, guests will have time to mix, mingle, network and connect before and throughout the experience.

Whether you regularly attend City Council meetings or have never stepped inside City Hall, this experience is being created for everyday people who want to better understand their community.
