TOUCHED OUTWhen the Demands of Life Leave Too Little Room for You—and How to Make Space to Receive Again.
Sometimes “touched out” isn’t really about touch.
It’s the questions. The notifications. The noise. The decisions. The interruptions. The constant awareness of what everyone else needs.
It’s being reachable, responsive, responsible, and available—often with very little space between one demand and the next.
Over time, that kind of access can start to show up as irritability, sensory overload, difficulty receiving care, wanting to be left alone, resentment, feeling disconnected from intimacy, or craving a stretch of time when absolutely no one can reach you.
In this workshop, we’re widening the conversation from touched out to accessed out.
Together, we’ll explore the many ways women are asked to be available—physically, mentally, emotionally, digitally, relationally, and sexually—and what can happen when the demands on us consistently outpace our capacity to receive.
But this workshop won’t stop at understanding why you feel this way.
We’ll spend time practicing what it can look and feel like to create more room for yourself in real time—through guided somatic experiences, reflection, conversation, and practical tools you can actually use outside the workshop.
We’ll explore:
• How constant access affects your body, attention, energy, and capacity
• Why it can be so difficult to shift from responding and managing into receiving
• What happens when your needs require someone else to wait, adjust, or be inconvenienced
• How sensory input, interruptions, mental load, and relational demands can accumulate over the course of a day
• How being “accessed out” can affect touch, desire, intimacy, and connection
• Ways to recognize when you’re reaching capacity before you hit the breaking point
• Concrete ways to create pauses, boundaries, and moments of reduced access within the life you already have
• Practices that help receiving feel a little more available—and a little less unfamiliar
This will be an experiential workshop, not just a conversation about burnout.
You’ll have opportunities to try the practices in the room, notice what actually works for you, and leave with tangible tools and small, actionable ways to begin making more space to receive again.
