Alright, this is Round 2 of Touchdowns and Tiles, this time at I-10 Ice House! 🏈🀄We’ll be meeting at 11:00 a.m. on game day, one hour before the Cowboys game starts, so everyone has time to arrive, get settled, claim a table, and play some Mahjong before kickoff.
This is free open play, They also have drink specials, so there will be something to enjoy while we play and watch the game.
The tables at I-10 Ice House are a little smaller than a standard 30.7 x 30.7-inch Mahjong mat, so please keep that in mind when deciding what to bring. A little pop up side table might be useful to put your snacks and drinks on if you have one. Lamps are definitely a must at this location.
I currently have:
• 2 sets of tiles
• 2 sets of racks
• Dice
• Only 4 player cards
• 1 mat
• two lamps
If you have a Mahjong set, mat, racks, cards, lamps, or anything else that could help, please bring it so we can hopefully get multiple tables going.
One little RSVP request:
If possible, please only RSVP Going if you're actually planning to show up.
If you're interested and are genuinely thinking about coming but aren't 100% sure yet, Maybe is totally fine!
I'm mainly using the RSVP count so I know how many people I'm expecting to join us.
This is our second game, so we’re still figuring out the best way to organize everything, and looking at locations. I did preview this location 1h before game on a sunday, and 30 minutes into the game. It was not loud. Their is also options to play on tables out side.
