About this Event
Hosted by Investors in People and the Department for Education.
What to expect?
This half-day workshop will be taking place at the Queen Mary University of London. We have specifically designed this workshop to help employers understand more about the methodology behind the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and explore how Investors in People’s (IIP) ‘We invest in apprentices’ framework can enable employers to develop, expand and improve their apprenticeship programmes.
The ‘We invest in apprentices’ framework was created by IIP – working closely with the Department of Education, apprentice employers, and with apprentices and their families, training providers and policymakers – to provide a nationally-recognised kitemark for how well employers support their apprentices at work.
What will the workshop cover?
Key workshop highlights and speakers include:
• the very latest news, data and policy information about apprenticeships in England from the Department for Education
• how the annual Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers is compiled and what employers can do to improve their rating in future rankings, presented by Martin Birchall, Managing Director, High Fliers Research
• a comprehensive introduction to the ‘We invest in apprentices’ framework, its components, and its alignment with best practices in developing apprentice talent, led by Paul Devoy, CEO, IIP
• engage in hands-on activities, case studies, and group discussions to understand how the framework can be tailored to your organisation's unique needs and challenges.
• discover how to assess the impact of apprenticeship programmes, both on individual apprentices and an organisation's overall performance.
• connect with fellow professionals, share experiences, and build a supportive community of organisations committed to maximising the potential of their apprentices.
