Few musicians in any genre are spoken about with the reverence reserved for David Grier. A three-time IBMA Guitar Player of the Year and one of the most influential flatpick guitarists alive, Grier grew up immersed in Bluegrass history through his father Lamar Grier’s work with Bill Monroe and the legendary Blue Grass Boys.Drawing inspiration from icons like Clarence White, Tony Rice, and Doc Watson, Grier developed a singular style that has shaped generations of acoustic musicians. His career has included collaborations with artists such as Tim O'Brien, Victor Wooten, and the groundbreaking acoustic ensemble Psychograss.
Whether performing blazing instrumental runs or deeply expressive acoustic songs, David Grier represents the highest level of American roots musicianship. For guitar players, this is essential viewing. For everyone else, it’s a rare chance to witness one of the true masters of the instrument in an intimate listening room setting.
