Join Tomorrow Bookstore for our second annual spooky literary evening: our Women in Horror event featuring best-selling authors Rachel Harrison, Delilah S Dawson, and Nadia Davids. Author talk will be moderated by Indiana horror author Haley Newlin! Food will be available to purchase from local vendor Smoking Goose. NEW VENUE: The event will be hosted at Indiana Landmarks.
THE AGENDA
Doors Open (6:00PM): Doors will be open so attendees can arrive early to have more time to shop the book fair, converse with partners and grab snacks from Smooking Goose!
Spooky Book Fair (6:00-7:30PM): All four authors will have dedicated tables to meet them, grab a copy of their books, and get books signed. This is a great chance to meet the authors and get updated Women in Horror merch!
Headline Horror Conversation (7:30-9PM): An author reading and talk moderated by Haley Newlin featuring authors Rachel Harrison (Kiss Slay Replay and Play Nice), Nadia Davids (Cape Fever) , and Delilah S Dawson (Monstera and Bloom) followed by audience Q&A.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Rachel Harrison is the New York Times bestselling author of Play Nice, So Thirsty, Black Sheep, Such Sharp Teeth, Cackle, and The Return, which was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a First Novel. Her short fiction has appeared in numerous anthologies and in her debut collection, Bad Dolls. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and their cat/overlord.
Nadia Davids is a South African playwright, author and scholar. Her plays have been staged throughout South Africa and in Europe and her writing has appeared in Los Angeles Review of Books, LitHub, The American Scholar, Astra Magazine, The Georgia Review, and Zyzzyva Magazine. Her academic work explores archives of resistance, performance, memory, time and creativity under Apartheid and colonialism. Nadia has held residencies at Art Omi, Hedgebrook, and was a 2023 Aspen Writer in Residency. The 2024 winner of the Caine Prize for her short story ‘Bridling’, her latest novel, Cape Fever (2025) was a 2025 New York Times Editor’s Choice and one of Publishers Weekly Best Books of 2025.
Delilah S. Dawson is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling and Stoker Award winning author of over 40 books in a variety of genres, plus dozens of comics and short stories. She lives in Atlanta with her family and loves weightlifting, Disney, and collecting weird taxidermy. She writes witchy Romance as Isla Jewell and the Shadow series as Lila Bowen.
About the Moderator
Haley Newlin grew up on the theatrical terror of William Castle's gimmicks and Vincent Price films - both of which have heavily influenced her work. She has published three novels, including Take Your Turn, Teddy, and her latest release, The Film You Are About To See which was featured on the 2025 Bram Stoker Reading List. She has written several short stories, including "The Butcher on Blue Jay Way," featured in Kandisha Press's SLASH-HER: An Anthology of Women in Horror, and a story in Nick Roberts’s forthcoming Haunted Minds: Tales of Possession anthology. Newlin holds an MFA in Creative Writing & English and is the Managing Editor for Cemetery Dance Magazine. When she's not writing, she's watching black-and-white horror films, hanging out at her local drive-in theatre, or reading. She lives in Indiana with her boyfriend and three dogs
