Event Details:
Looking to make friends in Tokyo or spend Sunday afternoon meeting new people? Join Tokyo Expat Social Club for a relaxed autumn picnic at Kitanomaru Park, a green space beside the Imperial Palace in central Tokyo.
We’ll settle in together for a few hours of conversation, light snacks and optional games. Bring your favourite drink, find a spot on the picnic sheets and get to know the people around you. We’re starting early to enjoy the afternoon daylight and finishing before the evening chill.
The picnic is open to expats, Japanese locals, internationals, travellers, students, remote workers and anyone interested in meeting people in Tokyo.
Most attendees come alone, including many people joining Tokyo Expat Social Club for the first time, so arriving without knowing anyone is completely normal. There’s no formal networking, icebreaker session or structured programme. You can move between conversations, stay with one group, join a casual game, take a quiet break or simply enjoy being around others. There’s no pressure to be particularly outgoing.
Whether you’ve just moved to Tokyo or have lived here for years, you’re welcome to spend part of your Sunday with us.
