Metta for Nepal: Sound Bath Fundraiser for Flood Relief
In late August 2026, devastating floods and landslides struck Nepal, leaving hundreds dead, thousands missing, and entire communities cut off from food, clean water, and medical care.
We’re hosting a small, intimate Metta (lovingkindness) Meditation and Sound Bath to raise funds for Direct Relief’s Nepal Flood Relief Fund. Together, we’ll generate a field of compassion through sound and silence, and direct all net proceeds to support emergency medical aid and relief on the ground.
Suggested donation: HKD 300 - 500
100% of net proceeds will be donated to Direct Relief’s Nepal Flood Relief Fund. Essential event costs (travel, incense, refreshments, basic marketing) are kept minimal; facilitator time is volunteered.

What to expect
- A guided metta meditation to send lovingkindness to those affected by the floods, their families, and rescue workers
- A gentle sound bath with singing bowls to support deep relaxation and collective intention
- A quiet space to reflect, journal, and set an intention for relief and recovery
What to bring
- Comfortable clothing suitable for lying down
- A light sweater or shawl
- Optional: journal and pen

This is an independent, community-organized fundraiser. Donations are collected by the organizer and subsequently granted to Direct Relief’s Nepal Flood Relief Fund.
