Christie McCombe will give a presentation onTiverton’s Eastern Urban Extension (TEUE)
Christie has been the Mid Devon Area Planning Officer for the TEUE, Tiverton’s ‘Garden Village’, for the past seven years, during which time a significant amount of the housing and infrastructure has been planned and completed. As with other major residential developments, planning has involved compliance with changing Government and Local Authority requirements, including targets and policies, as well as managing environmental concerns and the needs of landowners, developers, local groups, communities and consultees. Christie has skilfully managed this development, always being very approachable and willing to meet ‘stakeholders’ and others wishing to comment on, discuss and modify proposals.
Much of the recent development in the TEUE is attractively designed and it includes badly-needed affordable and social housing.
However, there remain many concerns about the impact of this very large development, especially on local transport links and services in Tiverton.
Come along to listen to the talk, ask questions and connect with your fellow Tivertonians. Everybody welcome.
Doors open 7.00pm, talk starts 7.30pm £5 on the door or become a member of the society and have access to our whole program of talks.
