On Sunday, 18th October 2026 we’re offering 22 lucky Canon users the chance to explore this magical sanctuary while learning photography tips and techniques. Capture the island's vibrant wildlife through the lens of your Canon camera.
Our experienced guides will share insights on the island's conservation efforts, as well as practical advice on how to get the best shots in the wild. This is a rare opportunity to connect with nature and fellow photographers in one of New Zealand’s most spectacular native wildlife settings.

Event Highlights:
• A rare opportunity to photograph unique wildlife and stunning landscapes led by experienced Island guides and Auckland Camera and Canon staff in a small group for a personal experience.
• Learn about the island's conservation efforts and flora and fauna
• Canon cameras and RF Telephoto lenses can be tried out during the event (please also bring your own)
• Submit your best shot from the day for the Photo competition with a chance to win a Canon PRO-310 printer and other prizes!

• THIS IS A FREE EVENT BUT FERRY TICKET IS NOT INCLUDED

• Bring your Canon camera and lenses, (and memory cards)
• Wear comfortable footwear and clothing suitable for a nature walk
• Some beverages will be provided at on the Info Centre but please BYO water and a packed lunch
• There will be no rubbish bin on the island, so BYO rubbish bag
• Don’t forget your creativity — our post-event photo competition is your chance to win a top-tier Canon PRO-310 printer!

About the Ferry:
There are two ways to get to the Island:
1. From Downtown Ferry Terminal
2. From Gulf Harbour (has lots of free parking)
You will need to arrive at the island at 9:50 am
