Tiny Tongues is a supportive, parent-centered class designed to help caregivers feel confident with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, preparing for solids and early oral motor development.This class bridges feeding and development, helping parents understand how oral motor skills—such as sucking, swallowing, jaw stability, and tongue movement—support safe and effective feeding from day one. It also supports parents navigating tongue ties affecting feedings and education on pre and post tongue tie procedure oral motor activities to focus on.
Parents will learn:
-How oral motor skills develop in infants and how that impacts feeding
-Bottle and pacifier recommendations that support proper latch and pacing
-Proper jaw, tongue, and lip mobility and resting posture
-Feeding reflexes in newborns and how they change over time
-When to seek professional support
After this class, caregivers will leave with practical strategies to support calmer, more confident feeding experiences and a better understanding of how their baby’s oral development connects to feeding success.
