Join us in Ames for the Iowa Trails & Bike Summit — an annual gathering of professionals, researchers, and advocates working across trails and greenways, policy, infrastructure, and multimodal mobility. The Summit aims to inspire, educate, and empower attendees to continue to support Iowa as the World Capital of Trails and a more bicycle-friendly state.The presentations provide platforms for discussion and collaboration on a variety of topics such as trail development (acquisition, phasing, and construction), on-street cycling accommodations and network planning, maintenance, volunteer management, policy, promotion, and marketing.
An optional bike ride and evening reception will take place on Thursday, Oct. 1; keynote presentations, informational sessions and networking opportunities will take place Friday, Oct. 2.
This event is hosted by Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, Golden Hills RC&D, Iowa Bicycle Coalition, the National Parks Service RTCA, Travel Iowa, Wabash Trace Nature Trail and Iowa State University. All proceeds go to future conferences and trail-related projects.
