THE ART STUDIO De Pere is offering four 3-hour TINKERING WORKSHOPS Sign up for one: it meets for one 3-hour time block and is $50 per person.
Limited to 6 participants per session.
Ages 12 to Senior, no experience needed
Wednesdays,
—October 21st, 1-4 pm
—October 28th, 9 am-12 pm
—November 4th, 1-4 pm
—November 11th, 9 am – 12 pm
In conjunction with the Dennis Rockhill exhibit (theartstudiodepere.com), Christine Style will lead FOUR, 3-hour ‘Tinkering Workshops'. Participants will have a large selection of laser-cut wood and plastic shapes (aka tinkering shapes) to create their own designs. A base plate with wire for hanging is your starting point. Ideas you might consider include a mini relief art piece for a wall (a bug, face, a ?) or a sculpture—let your imagination speak to you.
If you don’t finish in the 3-hour time block, you may come back in during the open hours to continue to work on it.
Come and be inspired by the possibilities. All materials are provided: wood & plastic shapes and other collage materials, glue, glue guns, string, tools to drill holes, scissors, tape, paints, and brushes.
To TINKER is to play around and explore the possibilities. Tinkering shapes are the recycled left over shapes after laser cutting various projects - ask yourself the question: What if I did this?
