Well known as a guitar soloist & as Sharon Shannon's guitarist, he is also a brilliant melodeon player. He has performed and/or recorded with Frankie Gavin, Rick Epping, Brendan Power, Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker, Altan, Donal Lunny , Paul Brady, Session A9 & many more.
Tim will teach Irish/Celtic music & tricks on the D/G melodeon, by ear. The workshop will suit intermediate to advanced players rather than beginners. Tim will also teach B/C players if any come, but expects to concentrate on D/G this is what most players in England use. Tim will teach melodeon techniques from playing in various styles such as Sharon Shannon triplets, injecting good drive & rhythm into music, learning new tunes, exercises, playing a D/G instrument in difficult keys such as E major or C & more.
