About this Event
Throat Saturdays — Viśuddha Chakra Yoga
There is a difference between simply speaking and truly expressing yourself.
Throat Saturdays is a 90-minute practice inspired by Viśuddha, the Throat Chakra—the energetic centre associated with communication, truth, listening and authentic self-expression.
Sometimes we know exactly what we feel, yet struggle to put it into words. At other times, we speak quickly without really expressing what is underneath. This practice explores the space between our inner experience and outer expression.
Through Classical Haṭha Yoga, prāṇāyāma, mantra, mudrā and meditation, we work with the body and breath to create more openness around the throat, neck, shoulders and chest while cultivating a quieter, clearer relationship with our own voice.
The practice may include:
- Neck, shoulder and upper-back releasing āsanas
- Postures creating space through the chest and throat
- Viśuddha-focused prāṇāyāma
- Mantra and sound practices
- Mudrā and meditation
- Practices in listening, silence and conscious expression
- Guided relaxation
This isn't about becoming louder.
It is about becoming clearer.
Knowing when to speak.
Knowing when to listen.
And becoming more comfortable expressing what is genuinely yours.
No previous yoga or meditation experience is required. All levels are welcome.
