An afternoon of piano and cello from Curtis Institute talent!
About this Event

Two generations of Curtis Institute talent come together for an unforgettable evening of cello and piano masterworks!

Artcinia favorite, pianist Thomas Weaver teams up with rising star Andres Sanchez-Linares, cellist of the acclaimed AYA Piano Trio, for a program that showcases the emotional depth and technical brilliance of the cello sonata repertoire.

Anchoring the evening is Brahms’s Cello Sonata in F major, Op. 99, a sweeping and passionate Romantic-era work filled with power and nuance. The program also features Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata, known for its singing melodies and delicate charm, alongside a selection of short, virtuosic pieces that spotlight Sánchez-Linares’s brilliant technique and artistry.

This is a rare chance to hear two great Romantic-era masterpieces performed by two extraordinary musicians at different stages of their Curtis journeys.
