About this Event
Ready to enjoy a taste? Make sure you secure your tickets as soon as possible, so you don’t miss out!
Join us in the Food & Drink Studio at our Piccadilly home for the latest instalment of our Food Behind the Pages series, where we celebrate the stories, people and passion behind today’s most exciting cookbooks. This month, we’re delighted to welcome chef and author Thom Bateman.
With more than four million followers online, Thom Bateman has become one of the most exciting new cooks in British food. The self-taught chef is the driving force behind The Flintlock, his Michelin Guide-recognised restaurant in Staffordshire, which he painstakingly restored and relaunched during lockdown. Since reopening, it has earned three AA Rosettes, national acclaim through Great British Menu, and a devoted audience drawn to Thom’s thoughtful, flavour-led approach to cooking.
In his debut cookbook, Home Made, Thom brings together professional expertise and the comforting dishes that shaped him. Rooted in memories of Staffordshire, Devon and North Yorkshire, the book explores where restaurant cooking meets home food, offering clever techniques, elevated classics and closely guarded kitchen secrets. From nostalgic favourites to bold, flavour-packed plates, Home Made shows how small details can transform everyday cooking into something truly special.
Don’t miss your chance to hear from one of Britain’s most exciting culinary talents, discover the inspiration behind Home Made, and leave with fresh ideas for your own kitchen! Book your ticket today and join us for an evening of delicious conversation and even more delicious food.
